You can’t really tell whose car you will be banging out there. But take a look side to side and you will be shocked to see that a negligent driver was a teenager. For years now teenagers have been the cause of many accidents. Teenagers are 4 times likely to meet an accident.

In the recent data from CDC, in 2010 2700 teens ages from 16-19 were killed due to fatal crashes while 282, 000 teen as were treated and sent home from the hospital. The main cause of accidents include distracted driving, no wearing of seatbelt, over speeding and drunk/drugged driving.

Teenagers are becoming hard headed. They have poor hazard detection. They don’t how to react depending on what the situation demands. And so they are ended hopeless suffering from injuries that could bring temporary/permanent disability, brain hemorrhage, or death.

Below are some tips teens should manifest to avoid accidents:

Show Right Attitude in Driving

Be responsible enough in driving. Consider that your passengers are your accountabilities. Don’t show off your skills especially if you got lots of them at your back. Remember when you are the driver you don’t just risk yourself but also the people who are driving for.

Practice Driving

Let your parents teach you how to drive. Or in other words practice with their supervisions. You should not go off the roads when you’re skills aren’t enough to cross the streets. Make a schedule with someone who’ll teach and develop your driving skills.

Wear Seatbelt

Seatbelt must have been one of the most advertised way of keeping safe but still a lot of drivers neglect it. Do not Drink and Drive

The common assault for teenagers is DUI or Driving under Influence. Teenagers must be all aware that alcoholic beverages and drugs can make you sleepy while driving. When you lost your focus in the wheels you will surely fell completely out of your car injured and damaged.

Do Not Over Load

When you are just newbie driver limit your passengers. The risk of having an accident is equal to the additional number of passengers you carry.

Limit Night Time Driving

Night time driving is 3 times riskier than daytime driving. When you are a newbie don’t push your luck much at night.

Don’t Be Too Excited

A lot of teen drivers are too excited making them more vulnerable to danger. If you have just driven a car don’t drive fast, make it slow but firm.

Don’t Be Distracted

The use of cellphones, music players, and emails while in the vehicle should be strictly prohibited. Recent study showed that 80% of fatal accidents is caused by distracted drivers.

Teenagers are very young to suffer the agony of an injury. Take care of yourself and don’t let an accident ruin your brighter future.
